2004년 제11회 중국유행가요연두시상식 외국인부문 최우수 R&B상

“As One” is a female duo consisted of two very talented vocals, Chrystal (Chae Da-Hee) and Lee Min (Lee Min Young). The two vocals were both basically rose in America; Crystal was born there, and Lee Min moved to America 8 months after birth. However, Shin Jae Hong – a famous song writer- saw their potentials, and helped them form the R&B group “As One” in 1999. Using their familiarity with the American style R&B and their skills, the group caught the attention of the Korean Audience from the beginning.
When they released their first album in 1999, people were surprised by the newcomers’ experienced singing skills, and loved the title song “Day By Day.” By the time they release their second album, in 2001, they were already being invited as the guest singers for famous music albums. In their third album (2003), the duo changed their style a bit in their title song “Mr. A-jo,” giving it a more acoustic feeling, emphasizing the guitar, bass, and drum sounds; however, without losing their R&B feeling at the same time.
In addition, the group has released a best album DVD, in 2003. The best album includes all of their hit songs in the past five years - from albums and sound tracks they have recorded.

As One is a female duo made up of Lee Min-young and Crystal Chae. Both were born in the United States and were discovered while singing in church. They were found by a former member of popular Korean R&B group SOLID. They found popularity with the release of their first album, “Day by Day,” in 1999. Originally signed to Rock Records, they switched to EMI Korea after their fourth album, “Restoration” in 2004. EMI Korea also boasts other top K-Pop groups such as DJ DOC and Baby VOX. As One is currently promoting their single, “12 Nights,” off their latest album “12 Tears of Farewell” released in November 2006.
